This morning, I received a voice mail from a friend (I missed the call while getting ready for the day) who was really excited about a project they were working on. They had been stuck and a bit frustrated with the project but finally had success with it and was excited about the good point they had reached.
I was a little sad I missed the call but also was really happy my friend called me to share in their excitement. It was a completely unexpected call considering it was 8:00 am, and I don't usually think of this person as a morning person, but I'm so glad I got it.
Especially on a middle-of-the-week morning, sharing in a friend's excitement was a really positive start to the day.
